A Federal High Court in Kano has sentenced Abdulrahman Sani Adam to three years in prison for diverting three containers and forging customs documents. The court also ordered the seized containers to be forfeited to the Federal Government for auction.
Justice Musa Sale gave Adam the option of a ₦3 million fine. Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Director of Legal Services, Smart Akande, said the conviction highlights the government’s commitment to curbing revenue leakages and deterring similar illegal activities in the import-export sector.
