PRESIDENT TINUBU DEPARTS ABUJA FOR STATE VISIT TO TÜRKIYE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Abuja for a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye as part of efforts to deepen diplomatic and economic relations between both countries.

The visit is expected to strengthen long-standing ties and open new areas of cooperation, particularly in security, trade, investment, education, innovation, aviation, and social development.

During the visit, President Tinubu will hold high-level talks with Turkish officials on shared political and economic priorities, building on the cordial relations between Nigeria and Türkiye. The engagement will also feature the signing of agreements aimed at boosting collaboration in key sectors, as well as a business forum designed to connect investors from both nations.

The visit follows earlier diplomatic exchanges between Nigeria and Türkiye and is seen as a step toward expanding mutually beneficial partnerships. President Tinubu is expected to return to the country at the conclusion of the visit.
