FIRE OUTBREAK HITS FEDERAL SECRETARIAT OFFICE IN ABUJA

A fire outbreak has affected a section of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation at the Federal Secretariat Complex Phase II in Abuja.

The fire, which started early in the day, impacted the fourth floor of Block C housing the National Board for Technology Incubation. It was quickly contained by personnel of the Federal Fire Service and other emergency responders.

No casualties were recorded as staff on the affected floor were safely evacuated. Head of the Civil Service, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, commended the responders for their swift action.
