By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Borno State Police Command has impounded 78 vehicles for operating without registration number plates or using concealed, altered and defaced plates.

The command said the enforcement exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and prevent criminals from using unregistered vehicles to carry out unlawful activities.

Commissioner of Police, Naziru Abdulmajid, urged motorists to comply with registration regulations, stressing that the operation is aimed at improving public safety and enhancing security across the state.

Police authorities said the exercise will continue, warning that violators will face legal sanctions.
