By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 Plateau State Government has pledged Commitment to work with the French Government in all sectors for the development of the state.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang gave the assurance when he received on a courtesy visit, the French Ambassador to Nigeria Emmanuelle Blallman.

Receiving the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Governor Caleb Mutfwang who pledged the availablity of counterpart funding towards the advancement of its programmes also highlighted areas that would be of massive benefits to the State.

The Governor called on the envoy to upscale activities of the French centre located in Jos, emphasizing the need to create a digital hub that would help youths in the state to explore and maximise their skills.

Earlier in a remark, the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Madam Emmanuelle Blallman said she and her team were in the state to explore various areas of collaboration as well as promote the learning of French language.

She stated that the embassy has put in place modalities for the establishment of ten pilot schemes for French learning in public schools in six selected states of the country with Plateau state inclusive.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a souvenir to the French ambassador in appreciation of the visit.
