RAMADAN GESTURE: KANO SPEAKER DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO FORMER SPEAKERS AND STAFF                                                                                        27-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The speaker of the Kano state house of the Alhaji Jibril Isma’il Falgore has donated food items to former speakers, former Clarks, securities and staff of the assembly.

Speaking shortly after the distribution, the speaker explained that, the gesture was part of efforts to alleviate suffering due to the present economic hardship.

Represented by his chief press secretary Kamaludeen Sani Shawai, he pointed out that, over 200 50kg of rice and over 200 cartons of spaghetti were received by the beneficiaries.

He stressed that the kind gesture was the first of its kind, and reiterated the speaker’s commitment to providing support to Kano citizens.

The chairman Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Kano state chapter Bashir Yahaya commended the initiative.

He described the speaker as a dedicated public servant who is committed to the welfare of his people.

Bashir hinted that the donation would go a long way in boosting the morale of the parliamentary staff.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Africa 247 Hajara Ado, Lami Bako Yakasai, Musa Sufyan Bilya Aliyu and Abdulhamid Shehu promised to use the food items judiciously.

Africa 247 correspondent reports that those who benefitted from the food items include former speakers, former deputy speakers, former Clarks, securities other staff of the Kano State House of Assembly.
