By Sadiq Aminu The Special Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas on Islamic Religion Matters, Malam Husseini Isma’il, has called on the Muslims across Takum LGA and beyond to disregard any baseless rumors concerning the allegation raised by the Kuteb Yatso Association of Nigeria KYN that the state government is planning to demolish the Takum Central Mosque.
Mallam Isma’il made the call in a statement signed and issued to journalists in Jalingo on Monday, the 14th of October, 2024.
He mentioned that any demolition that occurs is aimed at promoting the development and welfare of their Muslim brothers and sisters in the Takum LGA and beyond. Hence, they welcomed the initiative.
According to the Special Adviser, it became necessary for him to address the concerns raised by the KYN on the demolition of the central mosque in Takum following calls he received from various states of Nigeria.
Malam Husseini Isma’il emphasized the strong understanding between the Muslim community and the Taraba State Government, led by Dr. Agbu Kefas.
He noted that Governor Kefas’s commitment to unity and progress in the state is unwavering, and reassured the support and cooperation of the Muslim community to the current administration.
The SA on Islamic Religion Matters, however, urged the Kuteb Yatso of Nigeria ( KYN ) not to exploit the situation for their agendas, as it could distract the Muslim community in Takum.
“To all Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria, especially in Taraba and Takum LGA, I encourage you to disregard any baseless rumors.
“Trust that Governor Agbu Kefas’ administration is dedicated to supporting the Muslim community here and throughout the state.
“I also ask the good people of Taraba to continue their support and prayers for Governor Kefas as he works tirelessly to build a better Taraba for all of us,” Mallam Isma’il concluded.
