By Sadiq Aminu                                                                The House of Representatives Committee on Public Assets and Special Duties has queried the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, over the Ministry’s public, private partnership programme and concession agreement aimed at improving healthcare in the country.
The Committee also directed the Minister to provide relevant documents over the lease of land to May and Baker in Lagos.
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Dabo Haruna, who directed the Minister to submit relevant documents including evidence of advertisement of the PPPs/concession/lease, expression of interest on these leases as well as specific achievements recorded by the Ministry in the period under reference, urged the Minister to also tender a document of transfer of shares to the Ministry of Finance Incorporated.

Also, the Chairman of the committee Ademorin Kuye, who later joined the hearing told the Minister to provide the documents supporting the Ministry’s N10b equity contribution.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, pleaded to be given till the next sitting to provide the relevant documents needed.
