GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA OF ONDO STATE PLEDGES SUPPORT TOWARDS ACHIEVING THE MANDATE ESTABLISHING THE FRSC                                                                             22-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has pledged unflinching support towards achieving the mandate establishing the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa made the pledge while receiving the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Mallam Shehu Mohammed who paid a courtesy visit to the government house in Akure, Ondo stste.

This is in continuation of the ongoing End of the year Nationwide Traffic monitoring.

Governor Lucy Aiyedatiwa said the state government would work closely with the FRSC to address carnage and ensure the safety of lives and property on the highway.

Represented by the State Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, The Governor commended the FRSC Boss for the Operation Zero Tolerance to Traffic Crashes and the nationwide monitoring of the Federal highways which he believes would reduce to the bearest minimum road Crashes in line with the United Nations Decade of Action on Road Safety and injury prevention.

Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa promised to provide operational vehicles and other logistics support towards enhancing the efficiency of FRSC in Ondo State.

Earlier, the FRSC Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed said the corps would continue to give priority considering the Strategic corridors of Ondo state to other States.

According to the Corps Marshal, Road Safety is a shared responsibilities that requires the collaboration of all stakeholders in reducing road crashes.

Mallam Shehu Mohammed, however, emphasised the need for the State Government to expedite actions towards establishing Ondo State Road Safety Advisory Council to complement the Federal Government Efforts in making road safer for socio economic growth.
