BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES PLANS TO RECRUIT 10,000 CIVIL SERVANTS IN 2025                                                                                                                                                 01-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Bauchi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to recruit 10,000 civil servants in early 2025, aimed at strengthening the workforce across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Yahuza Haruna who stated this during the Productivity Awards and Recognition Ceremony organized by the Bauchi State Ministry of Health, said already his office was working tirelessly to ensure the actualisation of the pledge by January next year.

Alhaji Haruna highlighted that the recruitment is overdue, citing a decline in the state’s workforce due to retirements and the lack of junior staff.

He noted that the state has not conducted large-scale recruitment for over a decade, which has negatively impacted the sustainability and efficiency of the civil service.

The Head of Civil Service, urged the award recipients to continue excelling in their roles, emphasizing that such recognition requires ongoing dedication.

He also encouraged those who were not recognized to strive harder to improve their contributions to the state’s development.

Earlier at the event, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sani Mohammed, stated that the ceremony was organized to motivate health workers in the MDAs to perform at their best and make sacrifices in their respective roles.

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Ahmed Abdulkadir, Chief Executive Officer of the Bauchi State Drug Management and Medical Consumables Agency, expressed gratitude and a renewed commitment to serving the state.

He also encouraged those not recognized to work harder to earn similar accolades in the future.
