DEPOT OWNERS GIVE FG SEVEN DAYS ULTIMATUM TO PAY BRIDGING CLAIMS 24-02-25
By Sadiq Aminu Depot Owners of the Independent Petroleum Marketers association have threatened to shut down their outlets if the Federal Government fails to pay its Bridging claims within the next seven days.
At a news briefing in Abuja, Depot Chairman, Gombe state, Abdul Ibrahim Mohammed said The Nigeria Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority was owing IPMAN over a hundred billion Naira as bridging claims.
The Body also expressed displeasure over the imposition of a five percent commission accruable to the NMDPRA at the sale of any Petroleum station outlet in Nigeria.
Also speaking, The Chairman, IPMAN Depot Chairmen forum, Alhaji Yahaya Alhassan explained that the NMDPRA was in possession of all the data it needed to make payments and noted that its alleged delay to appear for verification of claims was not responsible for the delay.
They appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the lingering issue.
