ISA KAITA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION DUTSINMA MATRICULATES OVER 500 NCE I STUDENTS                                                                                                          08-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                           Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has charged students to avoid engaging themselves in some social vices such as , Cultism, examination malpractice, drug abuse among others.

The Governor gave the charge at the matriculation ceremony of newly admitted NCE 1students, 2024/2025 academic session of Isa kaita College of Education Dutsinma, Katsina State, held at the College Auditorium.

Represented by the state Commissioner Ministry of higher, vocational and technical education Alhaji Isa Muhammad Musa, called on the newly admitted students to fucus on their studies and to maintain self-assurance as well as academic rigor.

He said that, katsina state government is dedicated to fostering the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among its youth, its pledged to provide unwavering support to the college Enter premiership center, ensuring that it remains a vibrant hub for entrepreneurial development in the state.

The Governor further explained, government strategies more efforts to ensure security of lives and properties of staff, students and the entire college community are protected adding that, government had approved the construction of security watch tours and deployment of 20 additional security personnel.

He wishes the newly matriculated students a successful study tenure during their academic years in the college and urged the to access scholarship and students loan schemes approved by the federal government.

In his remarks, the Provost of the College, Dr Ismaila Ado Funtua says the college it has made significant contribution to the training of primary and secondary schools teachers across the state and the country at large.

He called on the students to maintain a high level of professionalism, discipline and adherence to the institutional code of conduct, rules and regulations which will govern their stay and contribute to their personal growth and development
Into responsible and productive members of the society.

The Provost also urged them to become good ambassadors of the institution and reflect its core values and uphold its reputation in all their endeavors adding that, during the last convocation Governor Dikko approved the appointment of exceptional graduates to the state Civil service.

He also appreciate the effort of the state governor for establishing an Entrepreneurship Development Center within the institution in order to provide students with the opportunity to acquire dual certification upon graduation, the NCE certificate and a certificate in a specialized entrepreneurial skill.

Africa 247 reports that over five hundred NCE 1 students were matriculated in this 2024/2025 academic session as against three hundred students in 2022/2023, and seven hundred students in 2023/2024 academic session.
