N2BN APPROVED FOR THE REMODELLING OF THE JOS ABBATOUR TO AN INTERNATIONAL STANDARD 23-05-25
By Sadiq Aminu Two billion naira has been approved for the remodelling of the Jos Abbatoir to an International Standard.
This was made known by the Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap after the State Executive Council, SEC, meeting, held at the Executive Chamber, Government House, Little Rayfield Jos.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap said apart from approval for the construction of the Abbatoir, various other projects were approved aimed at alleviating the plight of the people.
She also added that a marching order has been given by the Governor for the distribution of the already procured fertilizers to the grassroots, in addition to other farm inputs.
She stated that approval for the construction of three agro-logistics hubs in the three senatorial zones of the State under the Rural Agricultural Access and Marketing Projects, RAMP were granted.
The Commissioner intimated that various projects at the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing were also approved for the development of pilot modernization settlement projects in three Local Government Areas to help checkmate rural-urban migration.
On education, Mrs Ramnap, informed that procurement of furniture for the ongoing construction of schools across the State were approved.
Accompanied by the Commissioners for Agriculture and Rural Development, Urban Development and Housing with that of Tourism and Culture, threw more light on some of the developments.
Amongst which is that the State’s Cultural Troupe had been selected to perform at a United Nations function in the United States, a development the commissioner for Tourism and Culture, Cornelius Doeyok,
said, would help boost the state’s tourism potentials.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, stressed that EXCO was raising the bar of governance by ensuring that all projects to be undertaken adheres to standard, hence urged residents to keep faith with the Government.
