EXPLOSION AT EASTERN BYPASS COMPANY CLAIMS FIVE LIVES IN KANO                                                             21-06-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        A devastating explosion occurred at a company located at Eastern Bypass in Kano State in the early hours of Saturday, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuring 10 others.

The incident happened when a military mortal bomb, suspected to be on a truck carrying carbine, exploded.

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, confirmed the incident and stated that the case is still under investigation.

According to him, the vehicle involved in the incident came from Yobe State, but further details about the vehicle were still being obscured.

The injured individuals were rushed to a medical hospital, where five were confirmed dead, and 10 are receiving treatment.

The Commissioner could not confirm whether any personnel were among those affected, saying that the investigation would reveal more facts about the incident.

CP Bakori assured that the police would conduct a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the explosion.

He urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities as they work to unravel the cause of the incident.

“The police are working to identify the cause of the explosion and determine the extent of the damage.”

” The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.” He added
