The Kano State Government says it remains committed to youth rehabilitation and improved security through education and non-kinetic measures.
Chief of Staff, Dr. Suleiman Wali Sani, representing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the 65th Independence Day celebration, said education is being used to reintegrate repentant youths and curb crime.
He highlighted the state’s Safe Corridor Initiative (Kano Model) as a key strategy tackling political thuggery, phone snatching, drug abuse, and other forms of restiveness.
The initiative, implemented with the police and NDLEA, offers rehabilitation, empowerment, and reintegration for vulnerable youths, helping many return to school or start small businesses.
Dr. Wali urged citizens to support government policies and called on eligible voters to collect their PVCs.
