TINUBU SHOULD REVIEW SECURITY ARCHITECTURE TO TACKLE INSECURITY- GROUP 28-05-24
By Sadiq Aminu President Bola Tinubu has been urged to review the nation’s security architecture to curb the menace of insecurity in the country.
The National President Amalgamated APC Support groups Alh Salman Akorede, made the call at press conference to mark the first year anniversary of the President’s administration.
Alh Akorede said this will upgrade the capacity of security agencies to effectively tackle security challenges in the country.
He observed that though there is improvement in the area of security, more need to be done to curb the menace of banditry, kidnapping and armed robbery that is still wrecking havoc across the country.
Akorede also advised the Tinubu administration to do more in the area of job creation, women entrepreneurship, as well as inclusion of support groups in government activities.
“As people who deal directly with the grassroots, we must advise that a lot needs to be done by this government in the area of job creation to reduce youths unemployment.
” We must admit here that despite the remarkable work that has been done by this government in the last one year, it’s public perception is not on the high side and this should be a course of worry. In our view, there is very low or near absence of the involvement of party and supporters in the running of the affairs of government, which has made the APC administration vulnerable on all fronts giving the opposition a free reign.
He however commended the President’s bold steps in the implementation of tough economic reform policies, which according to him are yielding positive results.
