TINUBU’S REFORMS BOOST GLOBAL CONFIDENCE — SHETTIMA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Vice President Kashim Shettima says the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are steadily rebuilding global confidence in Nigeria. He stated this in Abuja at the inaugural convocation of the Professionals’ Certification Programme for procurement officers, noting that the presence of foreign professionals reflects growing international trust in Nigeria’s reform agenda.

Represented by Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, Shettima described the graduation of over 2,000 certified officers as a major step under the Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing that strong procurement reforms are vital for transparency and effective use of public funds. He added that the approval for community-based procurement officers nationwide further strengthens accountability, a move also praised by the World Bank, which urged other African countries to adopt Nigeria’s certification model.
