PLATEAU GOVT RAISES ALARM OVER RISING MALE SCHOOL DROPOUT

The Plateau State Government has expressed concern over the increasing number of boys dropping out of school across the state.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang raised the alarm during the commissioning of a new administrative block and the distribution of teaching and learning materials at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) headquarters in Jos.

He urged parents to take responsibility for the education of their children, especially in the northern zone where the dropout rate among boys is rising. The governor also called on the Nigerian Union of Teachers and SUBEB to work together to promote sporting activities in schools.

Mutfwang reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving public education and ensuring schools in Plateau become a source of pride.
