Azza community in Lapai local government area of Niger state have lambasted the council chairman, Alhaji Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo for his inability to discharge his responsibility of providing dividend of democracy to the people.

A resident of the area, Alhaji Kasim Abdullahi Musa made this known while speaking with newsmen in Minna, saying that the chairman had sacked thousands of teachers for several months without employment of their replacement hence he should account for the council finances.

Musa further called on Governor Mohammed Umar Bago to as a matter of urgency remove the said chairman Alhaji Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo from the commissioners list submitted to the state assembly for screening.

He advised the Niger State House of Assembly not to screen Jantabo as a commissioner nominee if the governor insisted, due to his inability to perform creditably as a local government chairman.

The elder of the area emphasized that Jantabo should be replaced with a competent, cool headed and reliable person who would be able to measure up to the mission and vision of the present administration of governor Mohammed Umar Bago who is set to lead the state to greater height of the New Niger policy trust.

It was reliably gathered that many primary schools in the area have no single teacher for over a year while others have no learning materials just as some are in a dilapidated state among others.Community Calls for Removal of Jantabo From Niger Commissioner’s List
