PRESIDENT TINUBU TO DECLARE OPEN THE SECOND AFRICA MILITARY GAMES OPEN IN ABUJA                                                                                                      26-09-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       President Tinubu to declare open the Second Africa Military Games in Abuja After twenty years of the first edition.

Nigeria is to host the second edition of the African Military Games with over forty Countries and about three thousand participants expected to partake in the games next year.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa stated this in Abuja when he received the Games Trophy, flag and Torch of unity from the President of Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, OSMA, Major-General Abdullahi Maikano to signify the commencement and preparation for the Games.
President Bola Tinubu is expected to declare open the 2ND Edition of Africa Military Games in Abuja which will take place in November next year.
General Musa said the games is part of the non-kinetic efforts of the military to pursue peace with other countries and strengthen bi-lateral relations.

The President of Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, OSMA, Major-General Abdullahi Maikano, who is also the President Organising committee for the games said Nigeria is fully prepared for the games as nineteen sports would be competed for.

General Maikano said the first edition was held in Kenya twenty years ago and Egypt has been given the right to host the third edition which the date would be announced at the closing of the second edition hosted by Nigeria.
