By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   Youths in Niger state have been advsed to resist the temptation of allowing themselves to be lured by individual or groups to partake in any form of protest that is capable of jeopardising the current peace and development being enjoyed by people in the state.

Special Adviser to the Niger state Governor, Political and Strategy Alhaji Mohammed Nma Kolo who gave the advice in a statement in Minna, said even though youths in the state have promised not to engage in such  protest it is not out of place to remind them to be firm.

Alh Nma Kolo explaineid that what the state govenment needed at this crusial moment is the support of stakeholders and youths towards actualising the New Niger Agenda of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago to fast track the development process of the state and not destraction from any quota.

He however solicited for the support of political stakeholders in the state to enable the present administration continue to deliver genuine democratic dividend to it’s people at the grassroot level.

According to him, the state Governor has demonstrated the committment to bring about new Niger by executing people oriented projects spread across Niger state and therefore deserved the support and cooperation of Nigerlites to succeed.

Alhaji Nma Kolo said while the state Government is bringing about massive infrastructural development in addition to the much needed peace and security government requires the contributions of all to achieve meaningful results.

The Special Adviser who was speaking on the backdrop of the recent planned protests by some unknown people, said stakeholders must not encourage such move in Niger state in view of the fact that the current administration has taken everyone along irrespective of ethnic, political and religious affiliations.

He assured that the government will continue to live above board despite challenges, saying there is no society without it’s peculiar challenges but to have a determined leader like Governor Umaru Bago in Niger state  has mitigated the challenges and brought ray of hopes for the people.

Alh Nma Kolo commended Governor Umar Bago for organising the just concluded town hall meeting where all stakeholders especially the youths unanimously distanced themselves from the planned Nationwide protest for peace to reign.
