KANO STATE GOVERNMENT PARTNERS JAM’ IYAR MATAN AREWA TO EMPOWER WOMEN AND CHILDREN                                                                                                 25-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                Kano state has expressed readiness to collaborate with Jam’iyar Matan Arewa to promote the welfare and empower women, children and people with special needs.

The state Commissioner of the Ministry for Women, Children and the Disabled, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano, made the indication while receiving members of jam’iar Matan Arewa in her office.

She explained that the partnership aims to improve the lives of women, children and people with disabilities in the state.

Commissioner Saji Rano reminded them that their actions have the power to shape the future and create a more just and equitable society.

She encouraged them to stay focused, work together seamlessly, and support one another in their shared mission to drive meaningful change.

“Doing so will not only improve the lives of countless individuals but also leave a lasting legacy that will inspire future generations”

The commissioner assured them of Governor Abbas’s commitment towards helping women, children and the entire society by ensuring gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The chairperson of Jam’Iyyar Matan Arewa, Hajiya Kubra Dankani, emphasized the organization’s commitment to collaboration and collective action.

She highlighted that, jam’iya matan Arewa and the ministry will work together as a team, pooling resources and experience to drive positive change and improvement in the lives of women and the society at large.

Jam’iyar Matan Arewa has a strong track record of promoting women’s empowerment and social reform in Northern Nigeria
