CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF DEPLOYS FACT-FINDING TEAM TO ZAMFARA STATE                                                                                       13-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar has dispatched a Fact-finding team to fully investigate the reported incidence of civilian casualties in the recent NAF airstrikes in Zamfara State and provide a detailed report for further action.

The team, led by Director of co-ordination and co-operation, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, will liaise and interface with State and Local Government officials, as well as other critical stakeholders, for a holistic assessment of the situation with a view to driving the appropriate response.

In a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa says the Air Chief re-iterate the commitment of the force to the highest level of professionalism and transparency in the conduct of its operations.

The statement assures all stakeholders of NAF’s determination to refine its operational procedures to ensure mission accomplishment, while protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
