As Muslims worldwide mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Mr. Dasuki Arabi, has called on the faithful to embody the virtues of the Holy Prophet and continue offering prayers for leaders and the society at large.
In a statement issued by the Head of Strategic Communications at the Bureau, Mallam Aliyu Umar, Mr. Arabi noted that Eid-El-Maulud is not merely a period of celebration but a time for deep reflection, spiritual renewal, and reaffirmation of faith. He reminded Muslims that the Prophet’s birth remains a blessing to humanity, ushering in divine guidance through the Holy Quran.
According to him, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) lived a life defined by humility, kindness, justice, sacrifice, and integrity, values that every Muslim should strive to emulate. He stressed that true commemoration of the Maulud lies in the practical demonstration of these virtues in daily life, fostering unity, charity, and peaceful coexistence in society.
While felicitating with Muslims on the occasion, the BPSR helmsman encouraged them to use the period as an opportunity to renew their commitment to Islamic teachings, which emphasize compassion, tolerance, and service to others. He particularly urged sustained prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, political leaders, traditional rulers, and religious figures, asking Allah to grant them wisdom, guidance, and protection in steering the affairs of the nation.
Mr. Arabi also underscored the importance of interceding for lasting peace and prosperity, especially in communities grappling with conflict and insecurity. He assured that the Bureau of Public Service Reforms would remain steadfast in its mission to transform governance and deliver socio-economic progress for all Nigerians.
