NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS INSISTS ON THE DEMAND FOR N250,000 AS THE NEW MINIMUM WAGE FOR WORKERS 12-06-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) says the congress insist on the demand for N250,000 as the new Minimum Wage for Workers.
The Acting President of Nigeria Labour Congress, Prince Adewale Adeyanju in a statement, says labour would continue to push in good faith in the interest of the workers.
The statement says Nigerians appreciate the President’s commitment towards a decent National Minimum Wage.
The Tripartite Committee on National minimum wage offered N62,000, while the Organised labour demanded for N250,000.
The organized Labour urges President Bola Tinubu to harmonize the two figures submitted to him by the Tripartite Committee in favour of workers and masses.
