KADUNA NULGE GIVES 21-DAY ULTIMATUM OVER MINIMUM WAGE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Kaduna State Chapter, has given the state government 21 days to implement the newly approved ₦72,000 minimum wage.

The Union said its repeated efforts to get the government to act have failed, leaving workers to struggle with rising costs of living. It warned that if the demand is ignored, members across all 23 local government areas will embark on an indefinite strike.

NULGE urged Governor Uba Sani to step in quickly, stressing that resolving the matter will protect workers’ welfare and maintain peace between labour and government.
