The Kwara State Government has launched a state-wide vaccination campaign against transboundary animal diseases to protect livestock, boost productivity, and support farmers’ livelihoods.
Flagged off in Ilorin West LGA, the exercise is part of the World Bank-supported Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), aimed at preventing livestock disease outbreaks, reducing animal mortality, and promoting national food security.
State officials urged livestock farmers to register with the Ministry of Livestock Development to benefit from the vaccination and other government interventions.
