NEMA RECEIVES 258 EVACUATED NIGERIANS FROM SOUTH AFRICA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received 258 Nigerian returnees evacuated from South Africa under the Federal Government’s voluntary repatriation programme.

The returnees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, where they were received and processed by NEMA in collaboration with other government agencies.

According to the agency, the evacuees underwent documentation and medical screening before arrangements were made for their transportation and reintegration.

NEMA said the exercise forms part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to support Nigerians facing challenges abroad and facilitate their safe return home.
