AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNOR SOUGHT  FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT IN COMPLETING DEEP-SEA PROJECT                                                                  10-01-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has sought the support of the Federal Government in completing the Ibom Deep-sea Project.

In a meeting with President Tinubu in Abuja, the Governor said the completion of the project would help in decongesting the ports in Lagos.

While explaining that the Ibom Seaport has the deepest wharf to cater for the South-south, the Governor also sought support to revamp the state’s agricultural programme on palm oil production.

He said the State Government had begun the process of revamping the 28 year old moribund industry, but that Federal Government’s support would speed up the process to create jobs, and attain a full value chain for export and local consumption.
