INFERNO RAZES PROPERTIES WORTH N150 MILLION AT ‘YAN KATAKO MARKET KANO                                                                                                      26-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      A midnight fire has destroyed over 50 shops and properties worth 150 million naira at ‘yan katako Market Rijiyar Lemu, Fagge local government area Kano.

Speaking to newsmen the chairman of the market Alhaji Mamuda Musa Abdullahi explained that, the fire started at about 1:00 am on monday.

He pointed out that, the fire has wiped out over 50 shops containing plywood, foam, spray machines, chairs and other carpentry tools.

Alhaji Mamuda said they are yet to unravel the cause of the unfortunate incident.

The chairman commended the Kano State Fire Service for its prompt response in mitigating the fire.

He appealed to the government and philanthropists to support them as many traders have lost their means of livelihood.
