In a statement made available to newsmen, Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Bukar Mustapha says the decision to hike the prices was reached at the end of a management meeting held in Maiduguri, the state capital.

According to the statement, the resolution to increase the prices of bread was borne out of the hike in prices of flour and other ingredients necessary for the production of bread and finished products in the baking industry.

“The Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, Borno State chapeter has announced an increase in the princes of their products after a meeting of the management of the Association in Maiduguri ” the statement stated.

Breakdown of the prices shows that Jumbo bread will now be sold at N240 from its original price of N200, round is N340 instead of N290 while Kalangu is now N360 and from N300
