FCT COMMAND OF NSCDC ARRESTED 9 SUSPECTED VANDALS, BUYERS OF VANDALIZED CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURES                                                                                                            23-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The FCT command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC has arrested nine suspected vandals and buyers of vandalized critical national assets and infrastructures in the FCT.

The NSCDC, FCT Commandant Dr. Olusola Odumosu made this known to newsmen while parading the suspects in Abuja.

Dr. Odumosu said the suspects were arrested by the operatives of the command in various locations of the territory.

He explained that some of the vandals were intercepted in the process of vandalizing telecommunications masts at the package B area of the Mashood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Dr. Odumosu said the command made extra effort to uncover the beneficiaries of this unlawful activities of vandalism which led to the arrest of five suspected buyers at the Panteka market in Jabi area of Abuja.

The NSCDC, FCT commandant who warned vandals and scavengers to stay away from FCT, pledged the commitment of the command to rid the city of criminals.

Items recovered from the suspects included, nine based transceiver stations cabinet, Iron grid from the stadium fence, four melted bags of armoured cables, copper wires and solar panels among others.
