FAAN ANNOUNCES A PLANNED POWER OUTAGE AT THE INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL 2 OF MURTALA MUHAMMED INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LAGOS                                                                                        15-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                              The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a planned power outage at the International Terminal 2 of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

In a statement, the Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, FAAN, Mrs Obiageli Orah, says, the power outage, scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 1:00 AM to 4:30 AM, is necessary to replace a faulty 11KVA high tension panel.

To minimize disruption to flight operations and passenger facilitation, according to FAAN, Royal Air Maroc, which operates during the maintenance period, will be temporarily relocated to International Terminal 1 (ITZ-1) for check-in and arrival procedures.

It says, all stakeholders, including airlines, security agencies, and concessionaires, have been duly notified of the planned outage.

The authority also expressed its regret for any inconvenience this may cause passengers, emphasizing the safety and security of all airport users remain its top priority.
