NIDCOM SAYS NO DISTRESS CALLS FROM NIGERIANS AMID MIDDLE EAST CRISIS

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) says it has not received any distress calls from Nigerians affected by the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
In a statement by its Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Commission disclosed that only a few Nigerians in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Iran have made enquiries about possible evacuation plans if the situation escalates.
NIDCOM said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is collaborating with relevant agencies to assess the situation and determine necessary actions. Nigerians in the affected region have been advised to comply with official travel advisories and make use of emergency contact channels provided by the Ministry.
The Commission assured that the Federal Government is closely monitoring developments and remains committed to protecting Nigerians abroad.
