JGSHA URGES STAKEHOLDERS TO WORK TOWARDS ENLIGHTENING THE PUBLIC AND CORPORATE BODIES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY 27-01-25
By Sadiq Aminu Jigawa State House of Assembly has stressed the need for stakeholders to work together towards enlightening the public and corporate bodies on the importance of biotechnology to enhance productivity.
The Speaker Jigawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, made the remark during the opening of a Three Day Training organized by Bio-resources Development Center Dutse in collaboration with a firm at Manpower Development Institute, Dutse.
Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin explained that, as a new innovation to the community, expert in the field of Biotechnology should make concerted effort towards educating the people on the uses and ethical conduct in the application of Biotechnology.
He pointed out that, as legislators they have critically study the application of Biotechnology and are on the opinion that the innovation can be used safely in agriculture and other human endeavor as highlighted by experts in the field.
Earlier, the Jigawa State Coordinator Bio-resources Development Center Dutse, Malam Garba Abdullahi, explained that the Center was established to ensure the utilization of available resources using biology and technology to develop new products, method and organism for human usage.
He said the establishment of the Center was made possible by the Director General National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency who is an indegine of Jigawa for the benefit of the people.
