STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY ZARIA ANNUAL SIR AHMADU BELLO LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

The President General Community Association for Grassroots Transformation CAGRAT Engr Muhammad Dagaci attended the just Concluded Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Leadership Workshop as a Special Guest of Honour and Discussant.

The Event which took place at Balarabe Tanimu Conference Hall A.B.U Zaria was attended by many prominent personalities like
Vice Chancellor Prof Kabir Bala
Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic,
Honorable member Representing Bida,Gbako,Katcha Federal Constituency Honorable Saidu Musa (SMA),
Dr Bashir Kurfi CEO Ametex Consultancy and many more.

In the President remarks, he appreciated the organizers of the event for finding him worthy as a special guest of honour. He added that he accepted the invitation for three reasons: 1) As an home coming opportunity being an alumnu of ABU, 2) to add his voice to the generational succession plan which was one of the aims of the event, 3) and as a mark of respect to a great leader and Icon of administration and politics- Sir Ahmadu Bello the Sardauna of Sokoto. The CAGRAT leader said that it was the legacies of the Sardauna’s creativity that incubated, nourished and Nurtured the prestgious Ahamadu Bello university and most of the personalities at the event. He prayed God to forgive the soul of Sardauna.

He said the the major problem confronting Nigeria was institutional failure that had led to lack of growth and the associated insecurity and instability. He pointed out that only good Leadership would salvage the situation.

He advised the students to use their knowledge back home to participate in the democratic process to make it better through credible elections capable of throwing up good representatives.

The CAGRAT President and Hon Saidu Musa Abdul were both presented with Meritorious Leadership Award by SBU Students Representative Council (SRC).

The event was no doubt electrified by the Keynote Speaker- Hon Saidu Musa Abdul, Paper Presenter- Dr Bashir Kurfi and Discussant- Muhammadu Dagaci who are all incidentally alumni of the Great ABU.
