MEMBERS NNPCL BOARD ASSURE PRESIDENT TINUBU OF PRODUCING 2 MILLION BARRELS PER DAY SOON                                                                 18-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     Members of the new Board of the NNPCL have assured President Tinubu of their collective resolve to make Nigeria produce 2 million barrels per day any time from next year.

Briefing State House House correspondents after their swearing-in in Abuja, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Okokon Ekanem Udo, stressed that they would make NNPCL a company that would sustain the economy to facilitate the government’s efforts at improving the wellbeing of Nigerians.

“He has assured us of his support, and on our own part too, we have given him our 100 percent assurance that we would do the best we can to make sure that the key performance indicators of the oil industry, probably would become number one in Africa, and probably competing with leading oil and gas industry around the world”, he explained.

Mr. Ekanem Udo said the task before them would be an easy one, giving the rate at which pipelines are being vandalised and oil being stolen with impunity, suggesting the complete overhaul of the nation’s security architecture will greatly solve the problem.
