By Sadiq Aminu                                                        FCT Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC has deployed One Thousand Nine Hundred regular Marshals and mobilized no fewer than Three Thousand Special Marshals for effective traffic control during Easter celebration

FCT Sector Commander Mr Muta’a Chorrie who stated this while speaking with news Men at the commencement of a Four day Easter Special Patrol in Abuja said the personnel would work till late night at some identified gridlock areas during the operation.

Mr Muta’a Chorrie said all the twelve zebra points across the Six Area Councils would be on twenty four hours operational to attend to emergency cases

While appealing to motorists particularly commercial drivers to stop indiscriminate parking along road side, the sector Commander said all unit commanders have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of traffic rules to check the excesses of road users.

He noted that FRSC has increased its visibility along all the routes leading to religious centers to ensure free flow of heavy traffic as envisaged at some churches across the territory

According to him, the Corps have carried out sensitization campaigns at some registered motor parks, and public places to educate road users on the danger of reckless driving and Over speeding as well as the danger of intake of alcoholic drinks.

Mr Muta’a Chorrie however assured FCT residents of their safety on the highway during and after Easter celebration.
