By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated four Nigerians making historic strides in UK politics.

In a statement by Gabriel Odu of NiDCOM’s Media and Public Relations Unit, Dabiri-Erewa commended Dr. Adekunle Osibogun, Princess Opeyemi Bright, Councillor Jason Utitofon Jackson, and Councillor Sunny Lambe for their recent electoral victories across various UK boroughs.

Princess Bright and Cllr. Jackson achieved landmark records as the youngest Mayor of Barking & Dagenham and the first Black Mayor of Islington, respectively. Cllr. Lambe was also lauded for his elevation to Mayor of Southwark, following years of distinguished service. Dr. Osibogun secured his re-election as a *Councillor for both Buckinghamshire Council and Buckingham Town Council.

Describing the victories as “record-breaking milestones,” Dabiri-Erewa praised their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to public service, adding that their achievements are a source of pride for Nigeria and a beacon of inspiration for young Africans in the diaspora.

She offered prayers for their strength, protection, and guidance in office, encouraging them to sustain their commitment to excellence and representation.
